Family Benefits of a Swim Spa, Mountain View Lap Pool Dealer

Wednesday, November 27th, 2019

Quality time together is key to keeping a healthy, happy family. But when movies, board games and dinners get boring, what else can you do? How about spending some exciting and healthy time in the family swim spa?

The modern alternative to the traditional pool, here are three of the best benefits for families with a swim spa at home.

Easy Health and Fitness
The swim spa creates a great opportunity to give your kids a smart way to stay active and fit. They can swim, splash and enjoy all kinds of aquatic exercise right from the convenience of home. And, with indoor use, your swim spa is available 365 days a year, despite the weather!

Reduced Screen Time
How about getting the kids off the video games and televisions for a few hours a day? A swim spa is one more activity they’ll enjoy that doesn’t involve electronics. Encourage them to invite a friend over and lounge in the pool, or take in a few relaxing minutes with mom and dad in the hot tub portion of the swim spa.

Fun, Socialization and Bonding
Trying to get your kids to spend more time together with the family? A swim spa at home is the perfect opportunity to grab a swimsuit and towel and hit the water together. Kids of all ages will look forward to joining mom and dad for some exciting fun in the family swim spa.

So Go Ahead, Take a Swim, You Deserve It!
It’s, fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a swim spa to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company is providing free swim spa test soaks at all their showrooms. We do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute test call us ahead of time to reserve their spot.

Hot Tubs, Swim Spas Mountain View, San Jose Dealer Shares Tips for National Gratitude Month

Wednesday, November 27th, 2019

The Spa and Sauna Company, a five-store hot tub and swim spa dealer with showrooms in San Jose and Santa Cruz, publishes 3 Ways to Increase Gratitude for a Healthier Life.

“November is National Gratitude Month, a time that can be used to truly understand more about how recognizing the good, positive things in life, and how others have helped along the way, can create a healthier life,” said Scott Clark, president of The Spa and Sauna Company. Here are three ways to increase gratitude for a healthier life.2019 Highlife

Create a Place to Be Thankful at Home – It is important to create a place at home that is comforting and relaxing in order to focus on the day and life in general. People can use a hot tub at home as a luxurious meditation spot for everyone in the house to use.

While portable spas can fit in almost any space, and even be placed indoors, a great reason for positioning the hot tub outdoors is that the open atmosphere and fresh air aides in a feeling of well-being. The area you place your spa should be clutter free to allow for safer and easier access, and it will be more comfortable and enjoyable.

Volunteer in Person or Online – Taking the time to give back highlights the positive aspects of people’s lives and helps them feel good about spreading the joy. There are countless ways to volunteer in-person in the community, or support groups or organizations can be found online that need help with various activities. Dedicate a few hours a week or a month and keep participating throughout the year, not just during the month of November.

Congratulate Others on Successes – It might not be immediately obvious how allowing others to experience success and being happy for them can be a form of gratitude, but jealousy is the opposite of gratitude when it comes to how people feel about themselves and their lives. It is nearly impossible to be grateful and have a healthy outlook when being jealous of someone else’s success or good luck.

Don’t just say the words, it is important to truly believe the words when congratulating others, and genuinely be happy for them. That happiness is contagious and brings peace and joy in place of envy and depression.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub, swim spa or sauna to help improve their overall health and well-being, Hot Spring Spas of San Jose and Santa Cruz is providing free hot tub and swim spa test soaks. They do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute soak call them ahead of time to reserve their spot.

Shop Small with The Spa and Sauna Company

Thursday, November 21st, 2019

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

The Spa and Sauna Company, a locally owned hot tub and swim spa dealer with 5 locations in Nevada and California, is happy to participate in the Shop Small Movement this coming Small Business Saturday. Be sure to stop by on Small Business Saturday, or any day!

Small Business Saturday is a “nationwide movement to celebrate small businesses every day and to help communities thrive and stay vibrant,” according to American Express, which founded the movement in 2010.

The Spa and Sauna Company has been based in the Reno/Sparks community since 1990, and earlier this year, we added to The Spa and Sauna Company family of stores, with Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose. They have been a part of their respective communities since 1976!

Why Shop Small with Us?

During the holiday season, we encourage you to shop with local businesses, and avoid the holiday rush. The Spa and Sauna Company, which specializes in selling the best in Hot Tubs, Swim Spas, Saunas and Barbecues, is a family-owned business that employs more than 40 people in Reno, Sparks, Santa Cruz and San Jose.

For Small Business Saturday, we are celebrating at all of our locations, with our Relaxing Holiday Sale, so you can avoid the holiday shopping hustle and invest in a hot tub, swim spa, sauna or BBQ, to improve the health and wellness of your entire family. We have products available at many different price points and a friendly and knowledgeable team of wellness experts, ready to help you with any questions you might have.

How We Give Back to Our Communities

In addition to serving the wellness needs of our communities, The Spa and Sauna Company believes in giving back to the communities we serve. In Nevada, we have donated 2 hot tubs to Reno and Sparks veterans since 2018, with Sundance Spas and the Wish for Our Heroes program. The program provides veterans with therapeutic hot tubs to make their life better.

We also participate in the Reno Duck Races, which is sponsored by the Nevada Humane Society, and contribute to local schools.

In California, we contribute to Omega Nu, a Santa Cruz based volunteer group/charity, that helps the local community. You are likely to see our truck  escorting Quacky the Duck in December at the Santa Cruz Holiday Parade. We also participate in the Santa Cruz Duck Derby.

Also, we are a Toys for Tots drop off location at our Santa Cruz showroom. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children in need. Feel free to drop off an unwrapped, new present at our Santa Cruz showroom now. We’ll make sure it gets to those who need it most.

We have also been voted community favorites in both our Reno and Santa Cruz locations.

You can be proud to Shop Small with The Spa and Sauna Company, knowing that you are shopping with a local business, with a long history of selling only the highest quality hot tubs and swim spas in each of its communities. We’ll see you soon!

We Offer Advanced Water Testing

Thursday, October 31st, 2019

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

Do you have questions about the quality of the water inside your hot tub? Have you noticed a change to how the water feels, but you aren’t sure why? Would you like to stop guessing on how to maintain the best quality hot tub water?

We’re here to help with Advanced Water Testing at all 5 of our locations, using BioGuard ALEX Pro testing units. And the best part is, it’s a free service!

At The Spa and Sauna Company’s family of stores in Nevada and California, we are happy to be your hot tub experts, long beyond your hot tub purchase. We are also here to help you with hot tub water care and maintenance.

Advanced Water Testing is always free from The Spa and Sauna Company/Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose.

What is Advanced Water Testing?

We use BioGuard/SpaGuard’s ALEX Pro system. BioGuard is the pioneer of computerized water testing, with nearly instant results. In fact, the name ALEX stands for Analysis Experts, according to BioGuard/SpaGuard.

ALEX tests more water quality factors than standard water testing strips and can analyze how different results are related, giving you the information you need to best care for your hot tub.

How do I get my hot tub water tested?

All you need to do is bring a sample of your water, in a clean container or the provided sample bottle, into any of our showrooms. We encourage you to bring it to us as soon as you can, after taking the sample from your spa. And the water should still be between 80 and 104 degrees, just like it would be in your hot tub.

No appointment is needed.

One of our hot tub water care experts will take a small amount of your sample and put it into a disc, where our ALEX Pro system, can analyze your water.

In about a minute, the device will analyze and interpret the condition of your water and provide a comprehensive report, with suggestions on how to improve your hot tub water.

The hot tub expert who analyzed your water will discuss with you, in detail, what the reading means. And which of the suggestions will provide the most relief to your particular water issue. They will also direct you to any recommended products.

This system will store the results of the reading in our database. This will allow you, and us, to monitor any changes in your water quality over time, as you continue to use your hot tub, and bring future samples in for readings. This is a great resource for long time hot tubbers.

How often should I test my hot tub water?

We recommend you use test strips weekly at home to get a quick overview of your water quality, and make any adjustments, if needed.

You are welcome to bring your water in, at any time, for a comprehensive water testing analysis from us, either for a check-in or if you are experiencing a water issue.

SpaGuard recommends you bring your hot tub water in monthly, during the months you use your hot tub most frequently.

We also recommend you bring your water in for testing, if you have not used your hot tub for a long period of time, and are ready to begin using it again.

We look forward to seeing you in any of our showrooms to test your water and make sure you are having the most enjoyable hot tub ownership experience possible.

Make Winter Spa Soaks More Pleasant, Best Hot Tub Prices Reno

Friday, October 11th, 2019

The winter is the perfect time to enjoy a warm, bubbly hot tub experience. But, while the temperature may be warm in the water, the cold still remains outside.

Here are three ways to make winter hot tub soaks more pleasant.

Buy a Towel Warmer for Your Hot Tub
Soaking in your hot tub is great for warming up on a cold winter day. But keeping that warmth as you exit your hot tub can be tricky. A towel warmer can help. Simply turn on the warmer and place your towels on it to warm. When you are done with your soak, they are ready to use for an ultra-comfort drying off experience.

Buy an Exit Rug and Slippers
Coming out of warm water can be a shock if your feet hit a freezing cold floor. Buy a soft floor mat and slippers, then, before you enter your hot tub, place the rug on your towel warmer with your towels. When exiting, pull your rug off your towel warmer and place it on the ground. You will exit the tub to a warm, feet-drying experience and slip on some soft slippers before heading back indoors.

Make Sure You Invest in a Quality Cover
The easiest way to enjoy a warm hot tub experience during the winter is to keep the heat in the water. A good hot tub cover makes a huge difference. Make sure it has a snug fit to keep heat from escaping. Ask your hot tub dealer about which hot tub cover will be best for your spa.

So Go Ahead, Take a Soak, You Deserve It!
It’s fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company and Hot Spring Spas of San Jose are providing free test soaks at all their showrooms. We do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute soak call us ahead of time to reserve their spot.

To learn more about the benefits of owning a hot tub, just give us a call at ☎ 775-852-3838 or visit our website at: Best Hot Tub Prices Reno.
